Doing the Best We Can:

self-compassion without compromising success

Are you doing lots of things and none of them well? Amidst our many roles and diverse responsibilities, satisfaction can feel challenging, and mastery downright elusive. How do we show up to work with focus and motivation? How do we show up to our people with love and compassion? How do we show up to ourselves with strength and kindness?

In this workshop, we will start with compassion for where we are and employ practical tools for moving forward. We’ll discuss the science of change and identify accessible approaches to living on our own terms. We’ll set intentions based in hope, not fear, moving away from shame toward what nourishes.

managing triggers:

staying grounded in difficult moments

Do you find yourself more easily triggered amidst ongoing stress and uncertainty? Do you find yourself reacting, internalizing, lashing out, or avoiding when it comes to the difficult (and important) conversations in life? okay not okay:

sustaining energy and wellbeing in challenging times

Amidst continued global, local, and personal crises, many of us experience discouragement followed by hope followed by discouragement again. The constant pivoting and ongoing uncertainty and effortful optimism can be deeply exhausting. How do we show up to work with focus and motivation? How do we show up to our people with love and compassion? In this 1- hour workshop we will discuss the range of ways our energy can be impacted by current events, start where we are, and discuss practical tools for moving forward to sustainable energy and wellbeing.

showing up to life:

intro to mindful self-compassion

We can’t always change our circumstances, but we can change how we navigate them. Rather than fight against ourselves, we can employ practical steps to support ourselves along the way. By moving from passion rather than fear we bring more energy to our work and our people. In this workshop we will discuss current research around self-compassion and explore how it enhances the way we show up to every aspect of our lives in practical, accessible ways.

What Is Also Here?

expanding the lens to find happiness, gratitude and joy

Amidst ongoing intensities, navigating challenges globally and at home, gratitude can feel elusive and downright fake. This is not a workshop about forcing feelings or conjuring up warm fuzzies. This is a space to honor the hard stuff while expanding our lens to see what is also here: pockets of beauty, awe, pleasure, safety, comfort, happiness, and levity. We will view these lighter aspects of the human experiences as practices more than feelings, engaging in experiential activities designed to enhance our capacity to hold our multitudes. Our time together will include presentation of the science behind these practices, opportunities to experience these practices, solo reflection time, and small and large group discussion. Come as you are, get what you need.

changing for good:

behavior change science and practice

Change is tough. Be it better relationship patterns, healthier eating habits, consistent sleep, more physical activity, or breaking that addiction to social media, there are good reasons to change and good reasons to stay where we are. In this one-hour workshop we will explore motivation, values, the neuroscience of change, and practical tools for doing what truly nourishes us. We’ll utilize the power of language to articulate the changes we *choose* to make, and own our personal why.
